Fighting Fall

White House Black market ~ Shirt, Abercrombie and Fitch ~ Jeans

Here's the thing with mid to late August in Northern PA the weather doesn't actually know what it wants to do, today it was rainy and cold all morning then it warmed up in late afternoon/evening. So the outfit tried to work with both sides of the finicky weather a nice light top with jeans.
So we've been busy as usual this past weekend we had our town's Oil Festival. It's basically a little fair/art show kinda thing that are very common in all of the small towns in our area and all over the country. There are vendors and lots of good (unhealthy) fair food, and a parade where businesses and churches and organizations enter floats and such. I was born in Washington D.C. and sometimes it still gets too me how completely different the two worlds, my small rural town that I live in now and the city where I was born are! Both have so much to offer though! Anyway the Oil Festival celebrated it's 152nd year this year, and it's in honor of the first commercial Oil well ever drilled which was drilled in our small little town by Col. Edwin L. Drake August 27th 1859. So there's your history for the day haha!

Have a lovely Monday! :-)
